General Dynamics F-16C
This is the F-16 Fighting Falcon. I built this one when I was at the Air Force Academy. It's straight out of the box too. It's a Hasagawa model, and the detail is superb. If they ever made any space models, they would probably be outstanding. They've made some models from Macross (Robotech for us Americans) and from what they say, they are pretty nice.
When I had built this model, it was one of the best I had done. Since then, I've improved. I will probably eventually build another, but that's for later.
The finish on this model isn't the greatest. I was experimenting with the glossy finish before decals technique, and I flubbed it up. From up close the finish is pretty rough. But from a normal distance, it looks ok.
The pilot looks really good though, even though you can't see it in the pictures. And other than the funny finish, the model looks good. But it's been broken too many times for me to really consider it a good model. That happens whtn you have to move often.
But liked it when I did it. Everyone that say it thought it looked really good. Some day I'll make something else that will make people stare in awe.
