Storing and Moving

I've had to move several times in the last 10 years of my life, and I've picked up a few ideas on how to move you models. If you just pack you models in a box full of peanuts, they can break as the contents shift. I've had missles, antennas, wings, and other parts break off my model. Sometimes it's a simple fix to just glue a part back on. But if an antenna falls off, you'll have a hell of a time finding it. I heard a tip to put models in plastic bags before you pack them. That way, when they eventually break, you'll have all the parts right there. Pretty handy.

If your model is too big and won't fit in a bag, protect the parts that will fall off. I used extra bomb and drop-tank parts to cover all the little goodies on my C-141, and when I unpacked it, they were all there. Just make sure that the tape you use is not too sticky (low tack) and that you don't tape over something that could be lifted off with the tape. It would suck to have all your antennas there, but have all the decals ripped of around them.
